Another lazy week to be honest, but I did manage to go see my exhibition at the Baltic - A film made about Play, created with other members of Artmix. It was a fantastic event with popcorn, candy floss, a bubbleologist and a piano made from Banana's! It was massive, fun and tiring to say the least; speaking to children and adults about the past 5 months of work whilst you're hyper on a sugar rush sure does knock the energy out of you. It was a little embarrassing to see my face projected onto a huge wall whilst I recited the spoken word I'd written, but I felt proud to show everyone our hard work.
During this week, I decided to split up my Marilyn Monroe Perler Piece, into a 10x10 grid, in order to generalize sections so that I can paint faces of my cubes in a more simplified and pixelesque form (similar to Nathan Manire's portraits)
